Nyanga police say it is not true that no counselling was provided for the families of four people who were killed in Brown’s Farm on Tuesday April 3 (“Four killed in Philippi”, Vukani, April 12).
Spokesperson Captain Ntomboxolo Sitshitshi explained: “The station had promised counselling to the three families and on Thursday April 5, 13 family members were transported by bus to the Trauma Centre in Woodstock where the counselling was conducted.
“Nyanga police station has and will always strive to assist and support victims of crime.”
