A petrol bomb was thrown at a MyCiTi bus in Kuyasa, Khayelitsha yesterday.
No injuries were reported.
This comes as some workers employed by the vehicle operating companies (VOCs) continue with their illegal strike which started on Monday October 15.
The striking workers are demanding improved working conditions and to be in-sourced by the City.
Director of law enforcement in the City of Cape Town, Robbie Roberts, said following the incident, law enforcement have started escorting MyCiTi buses in and out of the Khayelitsha area.
The bus service continues to operate on skeleton staff. To find out more about the current routes schedule, please contact 0800 65 64 63.
