Born into a deeply spiritual family fuelled Ziyanda Luthuli’s love for gospel music.
As a 12-year-old Ziyanda could belt out an assortment of church hymns and gospel songs much to the amusement of her parents ,Bonakele and Nogcinile Dapo.
Now at 28, married and the mother of two children, Olothando and Buncwane, Ziyanda continues pursuing her passion.
With firm support from her doting husband Monwabisi and the family at large, Ziyanda is fully focused on her musical career.
“I believe that I have enough talent and that through my music I will exalt the gospel of Christ,” said Ziyanda.
Having studied and completed a certificate in office administration at the Boland College, Ziyanda now has more time to write and compose her songs. She and her hubby have composed songs for President Cyril Ramaphosa, Winnie Mandela and are about to release one for Andrew Mlangeni as part of their national legacy projects.
“Simply put we are preserving our national legacy through music,” she enthused.
Ziyanda can be summed up as a loving down to earth “Kasi girl” who is pursuing, her music dream and taking her community along with her in that journey.
