He dedicates his time to music and wants to do nothing else but create – and now Master KG, real name Kgaugelo Moagi, has launched another hit single.
Jerusalem, featuring Nomcebo Zikode, has left people with unanswered questions about the artist who was in good spirits when he visited Vukani’s offices on, Wednesday November 27 with his sister in crime Nomcebo Zikode.
He promised to be here at noon. And he was.
The 23-year-old Limpopo-born singer was all smiles as he talked about himself, his musical background and the reasons he was in Cape Town.
The Skeleton Move hitmaker was here to show the face behind the hit song Jerusalem. “Every time we are in Cape Town, you bless us. We are here because people love our music. We are here to introduce ourselves, the faces behind the song,” he said.
In the meantime, Nomcebo looked classically cool in a pair of black jeans and a long-sleeved beige shirt, occasionally adding her voice to the interview.
They were both equally vocal, however, about their new single and their reasons for working together on it.
KG remembers that he had just made another hit but wanted somebody that loves his beats. That’s when he contacted Nomcebo.
“We met through the blessings. She has a voice that no one can ignore. I am blessed to work with her in this project,” said the award-winning artist.
Nomcebo added: “All his songs are appealing to me. I am soul music lover but he is amazing to work with. Musically he is amazing. I listened to his beats and they were soulful,” she said.
And their new single, she said, had already taken the music industry by storm.
She said after dropping the single on YouTube, thousands of people here and abroad had liked it. “It is already topping the charts. You should see the millions of viewers on the YouTube. People just fell in love the first time they heard it,” she said
Chipping in, Master KG said he was now focusing on releasing a single every week till the end of December. “I want to empower people through my work. My job is to entertain people through music so I need to make sure people enjoy themselves. I am about good music,” he said.
