Master Dee achieves his DJing dream

Music producer and disc jockey, Dalikhaya Zilimbola, best known as Master Dee.

Dalikhaya Zilimbola who is commonly known by his stage name Master Dee has unleashed a single many believe is a sign of bigger things to come.

His latest offering, Rebellion, is a mixture of gqom and sgubhu and has found its way into the hearts of radio listeners at stations like Umhlobo Wenene FM, True FM and a dozen of community radio stations.

Master Dee carved his way up in the music scene since starting as a DJ in Idutywa.

In 2010 he moved to Grahamstown to be a resident DJ at a local club called Lounge.

While there, he gained a lot of experience, sharing a stage with big names in the industry like DJ Mbuso, DJ Fresh, Euphonik and Culoe de Song.

In 2012 he moved back to Idutywa and two years later, to East London where he eventually started DJing at a club called Vegas, and became well-known on the scene.

He started producing and releasing his own music, which soon attracted a significant following and in early 2017 he moved to Cape Town to boost his music career.

Among his hits are Lomhlaba Uyashukuma, and Crazy Leads all of whom were greatlt appreciated by the public.

He has worked on several projects with different producers and artists, among them Ed Harris, Big Nuz, Ubiza Wethu, Mr Thela, DJ Ngamla, DJ Lazz and Element Boys.

“I have learnt a lot from those guys and I enjoy collaborating with them,” he said.

Now Master Dee has signed with a Johannesburg-based recording company, OMG and things are looking rosier.

“We are planning to shoot our video in Cape Town and from there we will focus on releasing a full album,” said Master Dee.
