The Raymond Ackerman Academy is an entrepreneurial and personal development incubator geared at offering aspiring entrepreneurs and those with a keen interest to gain skills to support their professional endeavours the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial mindsets.
The academy offers a six-month full-time short course jam-packed with content around business practices, work readiness, personal development and engaging the corporate community effectively.
The course is open to youths between the ages of 18 to 35 at UCT GSB with no previous tertiary education.
More than 500 students have come through the program successfully, going on to either further their tertiary education, start small businesses and join the corporate world pursuing their professional goals.
In a country challenged with a growing unemployment rate, entrepreneurship has become an invaluable channel to ensure the advancement of South Africans particularly its youth.
The academy prides itself on not only developing entrepreneurial mindsets but also opening incubation, mentorship, and business support channels post-graduation.
