Law enforcement facilities protection officers recovered a vehicle that was hijacked in Gugulethu yesterday.
The officers were monitoring the Fezeka Fire Station when they were approached by a man, who told them that his VW Polo was hijacked at about midnight in Gugulethu, and he knew where it was hidden.
The officers accompanied him to the informal settlement in Philippi, where they found the vehicle, and it was confirmed that it was indeed the victim’s car.
The police were called and the vehicle was recovered.
No arrests were made as the suspects had already left the area.
