Tributes poured in for the late Safa official and policeman, Akho Ndzingo, over a full weekend’s football tournament, held by the Lingelethu Local Football Association, Khayelitsha SAPS and Safa Cape Town officials, at the Site C sports complex, this past weekened. Originally from Umtata, a small village called Baziya, Akho Ndzingo started a young referees academy in Khayelitsha. Safa Cape Town president and Safa vice-president, Bennett Bailey said Constable Ndzingo will be remembered for his inspiring presence and dedication to nurturing young referees.
