A non-profit company from Cape Town, Aslan-Hope In Sport, is intentional in bringing about social change in communities.
Over the past five days they have hosted their mission week, themed “Ignite Love, Seize Love, Spread Love“ in Khayelitsha, Athlone and Delft.
In partnership with Ayakhanya Foundation and City Mission Cape Town, the organisation gives back by inspiring the next generation’s hopes and dreams through a sport and life skills programme.
We captured some of the youngsters from Makhaza who participated in the chess, hockey, football and netball classes, followed by some yummy treats and a motivational speech by Aslan-Hope In Sport managing director, Denzil Dolley.

While the sport is unfamiliar to some, the enthusiasm was evident on the faces of the youngsters.The organisations’ message was simple: to spread love and raise awareness of gender-based violence and empower young people in a manner that will uplift communities, schools and homes in a positive manner.
