Quarter-finalists all set to square off at Site C Stadium

It’s all systems go for the quarter-finals of this year’s Coke Cup competition, set to kick off at Khayelitsha’s Site C Stadium, on Sunday.

In the men’s senior division, Langa’s Citizen’s FC will face will square off against Helderberg’s Two for Joy, who beat SSS Academy 1-0 in a last round of 16 clash to book their spot in the quarters.

Citizens secured their place following their 8-7 victory in a penalty shoot out against Jamestown United, last week.

On Sunday, Heideveld’s Young Pirates beat Manenberg’s Florentina 5-4 on penalties after playing to a 2-all draw at the Rooikrans sports complex to advance to the quarters.

Pirates will have their work cut out when they face Stephanian Ottery in their upcoming quarter-final clash. Stephs beat United FC 6-0 to book their spot in the quarters.

Meanwhile, Glendene United will face Melchester to round up the quarter-final fixtures.

Glendene beat Grassy Park United 4-2 on penalties after playing to a 1-all draw in a last 16 fixture. Melchester secured their spot after beating former champions Silver Spurs 3-1.

* In the under-18 division, Glendene United, Old Mutual FC, Hellenic FC, Everton Spurs, Eastern Rovers, Masidlale, Milano United and Junior Pirates will battle it out in their respective quarter-finals.

* In the women’s division, champions RV United from Khayelitsha, Virgo Ladies, Santos FC, UWC, Heideveld Female Football Academy, Portia FC, Burnley and Ikamva Women’s Team also booked their spots in the quarter-finals.
