Line break

Langa RFC and Blue Jet locked horns in an entertaining Western Province Rugby Football Union Super League C encounter at Khayelitsha stadium at the weekend. Games between the two teams always produce fireworks and this was evident by the large crowd that showed up on the day. The teams certainly didnt disappoint on the field and kept the spectators on their feet throughout the encounter. Both sides proved to be stubborn in defence with neither side able to cross the try line. The final score was 9-6 in favour of Langa, who converted the winning penalty inside the last two minutes of the game. Before that, the sides were locked at 6-all and it looked likely the game would finish in a draw, which would have been a fair result for both sides as they matched each other in every department. Seen here is Langa centre, Tshotsho Mbovane spreading the ball out wide during the last phases of the game.
