Use your right to vote wisely

Reverend Mark Long, chairperson of the Western Cape Religious Leaders Forum (WCRLF)

Elections are an important instrument of our democracy. Voting is our opportunity to make our voices heard. Democracy only works if we participate. Voting can be seen as an opportunity for change and change for the better is required by all.

We appeal to all to use your right to vote wisely. Do not be pressured or threatened to vote for a particular person or party. Tolerance is key to ensuring free and safe elections. Make enquiries about the political parties and persons standing for election in your ward. Choose carefully.

WCRLF appeals to all South African citizens to vote and to contribute to a peaceful and safe election on Monday November 1.
