Water wise tips

Besides using water wise plants, water the garden only when it is dry. You can feel how dry it is by using your finger to see the depth of dryness in the ground. Also, use a nozzle attachment to create a spray. You can use the water left over from washing dishes for watering vegetables. It’s good to water before the sun is up in the morning. Don’t water when it’s overcast, even if it’s dry, since there is a chance for possible showers. And the root system of your plants is cool.

Lastly, use indigenous plants only as they are used to the conditions of the south Western Cape.

With these tips you will find yourself watering just twice to three times a week. I thank you, God bless South Africa.
