A group of suspected hijackers was arrested in Makhaza, Khayelitsha, yesterday.
Metro police officers, who were on patrol in Blue Downs, were flagged down by a business owner who told them that one of his vehicles had been hijacked in Makhaza.
The officers accompanied the man to a location in Makhaza, where the Toyota Hilux, was found abandoned. However, the load it was transporting was missing.
The officers went to another location, following the vehicle’s tracker history, and found the suspects in possession of stolen goods.
A 33-year-old woman and two men aged 25 and 30 were arrested and detained at Harare police station.
