It was a wonderful morning at the Bridges for Music Academy in Langa when the Music Talent Development Programme participants and now graduates were celebrated last Saturday.
The 23 students graced the stage to receive their certificates.
They also showed off their singing and dancing talents.
Speaking to the graduates, founder and the chief executive officer of the academy, Valentino Barrioseta said: “I encourage you to think big, work hard, be patient for the results, and remain conscious of every step.”
He said the Bridges for Music Talent Development Programme focused on under-resourced communities.
The programme offers training in music, entrepreneurship, and computer literacy, along with career growth sessions, leadership activities, teamwork exercises, and mindfulness sessions to boost well-being.
Delighted graduate Bonke Bekizulu said the course was difficult but he is grateful to the academy and applauded the other graduates.
“It’s been a long road that has led me to this moment. I did not complete high school and this is the first time that I am ever graduating. I’m so grateful to everyone at the Bridges Academy.”
