The Wynberg-based company that claims to help people is accused of selling lies. More worrying is that the company continues to advertise its lies on papers. This according to a Thembokwezi man who claimed to have been sold lies.
But the company denied to selling lies and said it is opened to scrutiny by all. It said the accusations are unfounded. The BPS company in its advertise says: We will approve you when the banks decline you. Vehicle finance and bonds. Send a PCM to 061 851 3799. According to a Khwezi resident Moses Ngubo (59), all that is hogwash to dupe people. He said it a way to defraud people. The angry resident accused the company of defrauding him of R2600 saying he was promised to be cleared of all his debts but that has not happened.
He said the company has offices near Wynberg court. He said he called the number in the advert with the hope to get help. He was then called to come to the offices of the company. He said then and then he was told to give his bank card for speed cash. “I did not suspect anything at first. But I later realised that I was being robbed. Their explanation was that there are other debts that I owe so they were going to square them with the R2600. They are lying to vulnerable people by committing fraud,” he said warning that people should not respond to such adverts. Mr Ngubo is now seeking legal advice to get his money back. But according to the company he is ill advised.
The company spokesman Aiden Dist called the allegations inaccurate and baseless and said it will not tolerate the labeling by an individual. He said Mr Ngubo has been calling randomly and swearing at his staff something the company won’t tolerate. He said he signed for help and they were busy helping him. “To say we are defrauding people a very sensitive statement to make. It is a pity I cannot divulge people’s information but that gentleman has been rude to my staff. We have been operating for years and we have never have such people. We are open to scrutiny. You can also come to our offices and we will show you how we operate. Those accusations that he makes are unfounded,” he told Vukani.
He further extended invitation to Mr Ngubo to speak to them. He however said Mr Ngubo’s behaviour has been bad. “He authorised everything with us and now he crying foul. Another thing is that you can sign and come back after 60 days to say we did not service you,” he said.
