Gospel singer Sithembiso Soboyisi is giving his fans the opportunity to be part of his upcoming live music video shoot.
Pastor Soboyisi is set to make another one of his dreams come true by filming the DVD.
The Site C-based artist had a meteoric rise to the top but then seemed to have vanished from the music scene.
He has since established himself as one of the heavyweights in local gospel music.
But he admitted that it had not been easy. He lost money and friends but like a tennis ball, he has since bounced back. And he attributes his amazing rise to stardom to the Almighty.
“God sees who wants something for real. He has been faithful to me. That is why I am now embarking on this new journey,” he told Vukani.
“This will be my first ever live shoot. On the day I will also roll out food parcels to people who have nothing. That would be my way of saying, ‘Thank you, Lord’.
He never changes. I want my fans and supporters to be part of this beautiful day,” he added.
If you’d like to be part of the shoot, you can join Pastor Soboyisi at the Solomon Tshuku Hall in Site C, Khayelitsha, on Sunday November 10, from noon.
Part of his aim, he said, was to reignite the tradition of having gospel music shows in the townships, adding that it was worrying that gospel artists were no longer working together as they used to.
“The dignity of our genre has been thrown away by greed and jealousy. There were times when we filled our halls because we worked together. On the day of my shoot I will feature a lot of local artists and I am not ruling out the possibility of bringing a few from outside Cape Town.
“There are artists that I work with from KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape, they have shown interests. I will accommodate them too.”
The artist recently dropped his latest offering titled Bazosala Bendibuza.
